They Were Heroes

Coming out of nowhere into the monotonous North Carolina music scene, Raleigh based They Were Heroes formed in the summer of 2009. Growing up, they tired of the over saturation of all the latest trends. They sought out to bring a very real, honest post-hardcore sound into the mix. Playing their first show in January 2010, They Were Heroes burst onto the music scene and quickly began to turn heads after releasing a three song demo. The demo was recorded by Sid Menon (Yearling, Glass Casket) at FireSound Studios. They released their EP For All Those Who Sleep in September 2010. They Were Heroes looks to make a name for themselves not only within North Carolina but to anybody willing to listen.

Not content with staying inside of eastern North Carolina like so many of their peers, They Where Heroes are set on breaking down all of the boundaries in their way. With mind-blowing energy and stage presence, an incredibly tight live performance, and a passion for what they do they have proven to be able to captivate a variety of crowds ranging all genres. Mixing heavy rhythms and catchy melodies along with a seamless blend of singing and screaming, they can appeal to almost any fan of any music genre.
