Rufus Philpot

Rufus Philpot is a bassist who moved from London, England to New York City in 2000 to start his musical career.

Some highlights of Rufus’s career in New York include touring Ecuador with Randy Brecker, playing with saxophonists Bill Evans, Aaron Heick,Bobby Watson,and Chico Freeman guitarists Julio Fernandez, Jeff Golub, Mitch Stein, Mark Whitfield, Vic Juris and the super talented David Gilmore, keyboardists Bill O’ Connel, Helio Alves, Hector Martignon, JVR-which also featured Joel Rosenblatt and more.
