Damon Ranger
Damon Ranger is the singer and guitarist/bassist of the Emmy Award Winning two piece rock band Blackbox. Hailing from Chicago, Blackbox intertwines enormous guitars, pummeling drums, catchy hooks, and big choruses into beautifully crafted rock/pop songs. Damon’s live set-up is unique. All guitars are equipped with guitar and bass pickups with two separate outputs, so Damon can exercise total tone control and perform all bass lines while playing his guitar parts. 
In 2009 Blackbox won an EMMY Award for their performance on the Grammy Awards Program “Grammy Career Day.” The performance was broadcasted on CBS, and guitar legend Rick Nielsen joined them. In 2010 Blackbox was nominated for a second Emmy Award for their video tour diary on Warped Tour.

Damon has his own TV/Internet segment with CBS 2 Chicago. The program has won Damon Ranger 6 Emmys. Since July 2007 Damon has had some great bands with him on his segments: Sonic Youth, Silverchair, Patti Smith, Rhymefest, Lupe Fiasco, GZA (Wu-Tang Clan), Perez Hilton, Butch Walker, Juliette Lewis, Motion City Soundtrack, Fistful of Mercy, Kate Voegele, Peter Bjorn and John, Cold War Kids, Satellite Party, Snow Patrol, G Love, Electric Six, Buddy Guy, Kid Sister, B.O.B., and more.
Damon is no stranger to collaboration. In 2010 Damon teamed up with Grammy Award Winner Malik Yusef to start a songwriting partnership to create songs for other signed artists. Damon also teamed up with Grammy Award Winner Rhymefest to write and record a new single for EA Sports.
In 2010 Damon started his own clothing line “DR by Cocomocha” which can be purchased in stores nationwide.
